Here's some stuff for you: Jim Knapp (I asked -- two "p"s in his last name) is going to run on a four-year-old George Poteet record of just a titch under 251. George set that record using an F motor that was built for a turbo - but didn't run the little blower on the record runs. Jim's car motors aren't blown, either, of course.
Knapp's truck is towing the trailer -- and parked about ten feet from me while he goes to chat with Cook. Chat over, Jim's leaving. Ambulance has just returned from lunch, so things will start getting exciting soon.
Speed Demon crew, team, and car have just gone past, all on or in various multi-wheeled devices. I don't know the order in which the cars will run -- but here's Cook on the radio:
Knapp will run first, starting at the 1 1/2. If he qualifies he wants the track to remain empty 'til he returns. If he does not qualify the bikes will go to the course. Electric bike first, then Greg and Kim. If they qualify they'll allow George to run the SD during their 2-hour interval.
Put that in your grinder and try to make sense of it. Or think of it this way -- it's going to be a busy few hours here at the Shootout.
