The word is often used when talking about the Honda motorcycle known as the PC 800.  The bike was produce something like 20 years ago -- and the rear tank bags had the shape of the afore-mentioned hind parts of a well-shaped woman.

Steve Strupp is running the white Camaro again, and then the Zero bike will make one more -- or maybe two more - runs.

Steve just spun the Camaro - stayed upright, has stopped the car.  Has just been referred to as "my cowboy from Indiana".  Yeeee-HAHH!!!

The 673 Camaro just did a flat spin.  Driver (Steve Strupp) is exiting the vehicle.

Just typed a wee  bit too slow.  Photo in a minit.

Moxnix.....apparently you are older than am I or you travel in a highly literate crowd.

Cut me some slack for I seek knowledge in different arenas than the ones you frequent.

I will accept any corrections that will help me improve my position outside the fence of higher learning.

Bonneville is difficult to describe and new words may make it more possible.

Thank You.

Joe..JD...i fully understand BUB 201 not same as Bonn. 200 mph club...it was
mentioned earlier (though i cant find it now, maybe fading memory ?) that R-V car had made a "red" hat...and that prompted the
query...speaking out loud here...as many of us using this as a sounding board for
increased knowledge...not all FIM meets such as BUB's count toward the "Bonn" 2 club,
and was curious how other FIM/FIA meets get relegated with respect to 2 club minimums...

at any rate R-V major kudos keeping it together on the spray...!!!!

dont want to take away from the other action.....

congrats all....

fantastic stuff...

And I shoulda been a bit more "explicit."  Not in the callipygous sense (There!  I used it.) but in the sense of pics of the Camaro.

First up is the 757 Camaro with the chute (with or without talcum powder) out

and then the number 673 Camaro being pushed off from the pit area before the spin.

And a coupla edits of a shot of Kim Krebs at speed.  Tell me which one ya like, k?

The electric bike is at his chosen start line and is under way.  He left yelling, reports Drew.  I think that's a good thing.

Speed   entry  92.6   kilo  101.6   mile  99.88   exit 102.203

Up and down, up and down.  Let's see if he wants a return run.

I hear he wants a quick recharge now -- so that tells me he'll make a return (sorry, Freud) run.  Stay tuned for further details.

Hey, we oughta be getting overtime pay -- it's now twelve hours fifteen minutes since we punched in today. :?

The call for tomorrow morning is 8AM.  Great news for us.  Don't ask why I say it that way.  After all, we ARE a married couple and it's okay if we don't jump out of bed at first light. :-)

Re: hats.  My question is: Did Dan W. bring any 500 chapter hats with him?

Doc, when I were a wee lad growing up in your county, a fair number of girls were of Scanderhoopian descent, blonde and callipygous.
Seen it all, done it all, can't remember most of it.

Quote from JD:

Freud, I believe the FIA record need to be a percentage over the exsisting record not just .001, not sure for FIM. Dan would need to answer the 200 MPH club questions....Remember it's the Bonneville 200 MPH club not the SCTA, USFRA, Shootout, etc 200 MPH Club.

I wasn't questioning either the Bonneville 2 Club acceptance or the amount necessary in the FIA to exceed an existing record.

All I wanted brought to the attention of the reporters was that a vehicles first pass did not have to exceed the existing

record to allow that vehicle to establish a new record following it's next pass. Five miles under the record on the first pass can still achieve

a record  if they go fast enough on the return to exceed the record and whatever percentage the FIA may add as

their requirement.

How were the descriptions of their Mothers verbalized?

Electric bike ready to run - in 2 minutes.  Bike is rolling.

Entry 91.664   kilo   100.751   mile  98.940   exit speed 101.000

Will be a quick turnaround and make one more run - one way.  Shall we time him to see what "quick turnaround" means in real life?  Yes, we will!

Evidently quick turnaround means about 8 minutes.  He's under way.

Entry speed   94.166   kilo speed  100.082   mile  98.178   exit  99.073

That's all there is there ain't no more -- tonight.

By the way, as far as we can count -- each entrant set a record today.  Nytol.

Freud, I believe the FIA record need to be a percentage over the exsisting record not just .001,

I was also under the impression that new FIA records had to exceed the existing record by 1%.  James Rice and Dave Petralli informed me that although that was once the case, the rules have now been changed, and anything exceeding the existing record is adequate for a new record.

That saves Jess Thomas' a s s  and his record.

His is the smallest increase ever for a 2 Club record.

I also think he is the youngest to ever get a HAT.

I can accept a correction if someone researches that statement.

You sure about the removal of the 1 percent rule for FIA? Last time I checked, it was still in the FIA rule book. Would be nice if it
were gone.

First things first.  Upon reflection -- I don't think Jim Knapp set a record today.  If I'm wrong I apologise, and I'm not going to take the time to dig through the previous pile of posts to prove myself right or wrong.  By the time I've got the time to do that in the morning -- one of you fine folks will have told me what's what.

Ed, I guess I could ask Dave Petrali about the existence of the 1% rule for FIA, and if it's changed -- where can the change be found by the common guy (vs. the FIA board member).  If he and James Rice said it's changed I presume it has changed, but maybe I can get better details.*

* A little while later.  I got an email from Dave and responded with the question about the 1%.  I don't expect he'll answer 'til morning, but I'll let you know about it then.

The electric bike is parked in the parking lot of this motel, hooked to a battery charger.  No license plate on it, no support truck in sight.  Hmmm - wonder how it got here.

And that's it for tonight.  I'll be back on the air by about 8 - 8.15 tomorrow.  Thanks for hanging around on the landracing.com Forum today - and every day you visit.

Hey - while I'm still online - I'll post the Rice/Vigeant car's timing slips from today.  Let's see -- I think it was Alan that drove first - and James second.  I can only get two of these slips on a single post so you'll need to see the next post if you want to see all four slips.  Again -- one shows ET and speed only, the other includes the clock times.
