Looking for pictures from Speed Week s of  '72 & '73.
I am interested in shots taken of a particular car or of the pits in an effort to find the car.  A Ford Pinto affiliated with Ak Millers / Lufkin at that time.

ANY help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

these popped up on yellowbullet with back story

Supposedly one of the guys in the group shot spent some time at Bonneville when Burt Munroe was around. Nowadays he is an engineer and some guy on yellowbullet works with him

I don't think that I have seen these photos on this thread, I copied them from a similar thread on the HAMB. Great photo of a gathering of early streamliners and also a great aerial photo of the Summers Brothers and Bob Herda on the starting line.

I didn't know Summers ever ran the Goldenrod except on private time. Was this photo from Speedweek then? Shakedown runs maybe?

Man there's a whole pile of WOW right there! What's the likelyhood the areal shot was from Don Fransisco's plane?
I was fortunate to overfly with him in the late 80's & early 90's but never had a camera. Sid.

the liner might be one built by Jocko Johnson, looks like his style. Do you know what year these were taken.

While we're on the subject of old Bville stuff -- one of the members of this Forum has donated an original edition print of the paperback Michigan Thompson - Challenger book.  He sent it to me and I'm part way through my "proofread" of it.  It is way cool.

The guy that donated it wants me to auction it off to those of you on the Forum for his out-of-pocket cost plus whatever I can get as a donation for the site.  It does have a bunch of photos in it.  It's co-written by Mickey and Griffith Borgeson.  I'll finish it in a few days and put a photo or two of it up on the site (elsewhere).  But since it has old photos -- here's your first mention of it on this site.

The asking price is going to start at $25.  I'll get to it soon, and maybe you'll soon have a great historical book for your land speed racing library.
