Mike - I had the same problem with my slides - I finally took them to COSTCO and had them converted to a CD. Very inexpensive and quick service if you use their instore process. Very happy with the result. Had them do some 8mm Movie Film to DVD and pretty happy with that too. Only problem I have is it was 45 year old film with quite a bit of wash out in spots. Need to figure out how to edit it our for better viewing. Pat

Unh, make that four, Woody.  I've included one that I got from one of the Aussie guys -- the Lake Gairdner event from a year or two back.  Might as well give them the recognition they deserve, too.  You oughta get the package any day now.

anyone have any info on this :?

Yes I do Gary, The car entry is Higginbotham-London-Auld, class is E/S. Engine is 120CI Chevy II, turbo'd. My first attempt at turbos.....HHMMM! Had the same troubles with it as I did with my current car. Getting the fuel to match up with the boost. It did set a record....not a fast one but a record nonetheless.
It ran again in '64. If anyone wants to know more about it please send a note and I'll fill in details. It was a rather unique car. Thanks for the info Jim!

I dropped you a line.  The London in the entry is my Dad.

You tire guys are going to love this...The Gates Liner ran  Michlin XVS's a "H" rated tire to that 275 MPH. They were 28" dia on a 15" rim. They were Highway Patrol tires back in the 70's. I still have the set which I ran on my 40 Chevy and my roadster. His liner hid them real well.  8-) I talked to Roger a lot about then; ; that's all I"ll say about that.

The fotos are where you find the opportunity.

My neighbor's Unkle ran a roadster at the lakes in the '50s.

When he passed his wife gave the trophy and the timing tag to my friend.

It's not B'ville but it is old.

90 MPH with a B Roadster, Oct 21, 1950 (Second Place trophy) and 96.87 MPH on 10-04-53 at El Mo, car 210,

Charles Oldham.

They will never be on e-Bay.

What was the B Class back then?  As I remember, displacement classes were inverted to what they are now.

The only thing I show is that in B roadster 4 and 8 cyls were allowed. Going by the speed I would think it's a 4 cyl. this is from a 1948 SCTA program. Most of the V-8 were over 100mph. Hope this helps. Enjoy the trophy and dash plaque. BTW this number was not in the 48 program

Speaking of old Bonneville pictures, as this thread is wont to do -- Woody sent an email saying that he's gone through the DVDs that I got from Jon Amo and from the Aussies -- and is in the process of getting another 1384 photos into the Gallery on this website.  It'll take a few days for them to migrate and get all nicely posted -- but they'll be there pretty soon.

Don't forget that we're soliciting comments and information about the photos.  Speak up -- all are welcome.  We'll get the comments and try to condense them to post (rather than let anyone put up comments -- gotta make sure the goofballs and koo-koos don't put in the wrong stuff).

Take a look at the Gallery and see what we've done.  Woody will post about the new photos soon.  This is just a pre-warning that it'll be better than ever.
