Is that Joannie Warner in the black pants and officials shirt with the clip board?

Looks like Joannie to me. Maybe Dan will chime in.

And the guy blocking Freud could be a young Dan... Seems I remember them working as a team back in the day.

Yes SSS 3 wheelers raced for several years, was always the same guys that entered 3 to form the class.  They were sand racers gone wild.  We were going to put a single front on the lakester but the ruling class said a streamlined expansion of the class was not going to happen. (where you can't see the rider)

Trapper, you probably didn't need to substitute the face, the ugly guy probably has dark hair and a beard...

Those were the days... it was a lot harder to set records doing a qualifier and 2 runs back to back

Yep, that is the lovely Joanie. Helping me when I was the long course return starter. That is Mark Lingua's streamliner in the pic. Good eye Nathan and Tom.

Freud,
Any information on the photo of the "Got Salt" Lakester? That's the car Salt Cat Racing bought from Lynn Goodfellow in October. Don't appear to be many pictures out there of the car.

One of the unique cars os the '50's. Jim Miller's Dad built it and powered by Pontiac.

I think if it isn't fully restored by now, it soon will be.

Glen will know all about it. Maybe Jim Miller will fill us in.

This was shot at Gas Up.

It's been fully restored and in the Ferguson's collection. It was in the Pebble Beach show and got a top honor in some category.

Great looking car, sorry my pictures suck. It was at the NHRA museum back in Dec. for some type of ceremony that Jim Miller was giving/given?

I'm sure DW knows what was what.

Two reasons to buy the current #50 Rodder's Journal.  Excellent feature (and cover) of the Fred Carrillo Roadster and coverage of the "hot rod" portion of  Pebble Beach - vintage LSR

The Miller/Ferguson lakester is now back at the Ferguson garage. The car won the historic hot rod class at Pebble Beach last August. Jim was able to leave Speedweek for a couple of days to be present when the car was presented the trophy.

So-Cal Coupe
« Reply #1543 on: April 03, 2011, 07:24:39 PM »
Some new 'old' photos are being ressurected from the albums of former Wheeler Dick Zook and I thought I would share one here with his permission. Below is the old So-Cal coupe when it was owned another Wheeler, Rich Stricker.

This image shows Dick at the wheel getting redy for a pass. During Rich's ownership the car normally ran a front drive blown Caddy. During a couple of events, the duo installed Dicks little Dodge Hemi for a couple of meets and got the coupe up into the 140's.

Enjoy and thanx Dick for sharing the photos..........

Seeking Jim Seabridge
« Reply #1544 on: April 03, 2011, 07:32:13 PM »
I have been searching for Jim Seabridge, formerly a Norwalk, So Cal resident and Wheeler? Below is a sixties photo shared by Dick Zook during my days as a go-fer for the Stewart and Seabridge crew.

Any help in putting Jim in contact with me or vice versa would be appreciated.
