I have heard the builder of this fast Corvair now lives in Minden, Nevada. 62-64

I have heard the builder of this fast Corvair now lives in Minden, Nevada. 62-64

  He may have moved to Oregon, I have been to his house an was very impressed with a copper water jacketed corvair motor sitting in the corner of his garage. He said 450hp (Tom) last name starst with a K but i forget how to pronounce it. :?

Galvanized fence pipe is almost as useful as duct tape! My dad made a roll bar for a Jeep out of it. :-D :-o

Thats him Dan, Also had a framed letter on his wall from Zora Duntof (spelling :?) from Chevy admiring the work he had done with the Corvair :cheers:

AND A WONDERFUL RECORD IT IS.
26 years later we were running comparable speeds with the Merkur with Jim driving.  Bigger but slippery er. (maybe) 
He really had it together.
I really admire work like his and wish I could have been around for it.

  I knew I saw it somewere, it's in the book ''turbochargers'' by Hugh Macinnes in the water injection chapter ran on propane
 had 450 hp at 6700 rpm in 1974 :-o
