more coolness, gary!

the #51 lakester is fred lobello's "ladybug".

here it is, looking like it could have been shot the following day.  it was shot, however, the day we unloaded for "the world's fastest indian".

Hey Guys, here are a few IDs
#131 red roadster is/was Fred Wilert's with blown Buick, later bought by my Dad Russ Eyres, late 60's ran s/b chevy.
Later sold to Al  Teague after the return road crunch to re build the #76 roadster.
#119 is still currently running under the#831 owned by the Eyres Brothers of Douglas and Russ. Originally built by Lou Bingham
and Doug Eyres in 60 I think, before my time.
# 64 is the bill Taylor(short course starter)and the late John Crammer's fuel Ardun
#51 on reply 1053 I think is Fred Lobello's current lakester being currently restored/update to run in 2010 season,
and Greg's picture from reply 1055 is Fred's original Lady Bug in blue.
Guy's from one who has growing up in this sport THIS is by far my favorite post. keep up the good work and keep these pic's coming
Thanks Eric Eyres

ranchero

the #101 ranchero is big bill edwards' turbocharged somekindachevy.

i knew bill from hanging out at ak miller's where he managed the enterprise, where they did all the turbo work.

bill used to break something every year.  his solution: more horsepower.  not sure how fast he ever went.  but, i remember it coming alive one time when it didn't come apart and it scared the stuffin' out of bill, aka: the mayor of wells.

many stories about bill and wells!

i'lll drink to that!   from bill to me ( when i worked there) recounting a 'visit' to Wells:  "...they came barging into the room...yelling..."oh, your on her"...."

Monty, need to talk to you.  When ever you can
