Whoooo  love that rear eng roadster   why the strange air bonnet

Sparky,

I looks like they were dividing the air to the blower manifold, half to the front rest to the rear. At least that is what it looks like when you blow the picture up.

Jim,

I always considered the car belonging to you guys - not a club project.

One thing I noticed was the lack of parachutes...on the liners or for that matter roadsters also. What year did the parachute rule come into effect? Thanks Mike R.

Thanks Tom,,

when you study it(once again, my alligator mouth out performed my hummingbird brain) it feeds a 2 4 manifold. They did split it--from the "banjo" like hat the front is fed from the left and the rear is fed from the right

The pics that Mike posted, two things:
1. Man, everyone was young!!!
2. Notice that the Summers Brothers rearengine roadsters was high gear only? Big torque and a good push truck!

These aren't "old" Bonneville photos -- but they're still nice.  Ron Main sent the link from www.speedhunters.com.

Only been 1/2 way 'round the world but haven't found better yet, an indescribable feeling as well as sight, especially from impound.
