"Security is mostly a superstition. It does not exist in nature, nor do the children of men as a whole experience it. Avoiding danger is no safer in the long run than outright exposure. Life is either a daring adventure or nothing."   Helen Keller

Was open last year Stan, we visited 4 times during 2 meets with 2 vehicles in 3 classes (of course lost one to an old foe at the next meet, congrats Mark), seemed to have the great sunrises we all expect.  Maybe you have done something to injure your karma.... you could buy Freud and me dinner at the old gas station where we had dinner the last time and I could help you figure it out

Wait, I just figured it out, now it is your turn  :-D
Karma Stan  8-)

Lloyd was Art's brother. Harry Duncan was a contractor and and racer. He ran a coupe and had engines in others cars. The Duncan Built Homes coupe kicked a lot of butts. I was at Art's shop a few weeks ago and we had a great talk about the old days of drag racing. BTW, he still looks about 35 years old.

That's funny. Ive never heard anybody but Harry's son (My Grandpa) Refer to the "Chrisman Coupe" As the Duncan Built Homes Coupe. Harry is my GreatGrandpa, out of curiosity does his name ever come up when you re talking about old Bonneville? I have some great color pix of that car from the time when my grandpa owned it. Let me know if you'd be interested in seeing them. Let me know, I have pix of a bunch of his other cars also.

Cheers!

Mike

Here are some scans of photos my Grandpa copied for me of "The Chrisman Coupe" from the time when his father owned it. Notice the bronze colored helmet in the second picture sitting on the car. Check out the badass truck used to tow it! My grandpa said his dad would let him drive the pickup around town a bit. Striping by Dutch. These photos are not out there floating around, Ive never seen a photo of the car in this form other than the framed photos hanging in his garage. What do ya think?
