It's easier to answer the questions then to write a book. To much to remember and digging through old files etc is more fun. It's also hard to stay on track when getting into the old stuff. One tends to forget why they are looking in the old books and files. Thanks for the thought.

I believe that's the eighth or ninth car Don has brought to Bonneville since 1951.  It's nice that he finally got into the two club with this car in 1988 and also that Marty could get into the two club in the same car in 2002 before his death.  The car just sat in a corner of their shop for fourteen years before they changed the plugs and fluids for Marty's record runs.

John Sprenger nagged me for years for a foto of the car when he drove it. I looked  and looked and finally found the image. I printed small prints and took them to the salt. Marty was inline waiting for his run. When I saw him, I gave them the fotos. John was inline behind them so Marty walked back the the lakester (Got Salt) and said to John, 'Hey, look here. I just got this foto." Sprenger went ballistic and came looking for me.
Yep, he got his wish fulfilled.

sprenger loves practical jokes!

i'll have to write about how he setup frank "jive-ass" silva about 15-years ago.  when i'm not working on my rally, that is!

preview: frank has not since turned his back to me.

That's a tough pair to deal with.

I can imagine the ingenuity between them.

That must be TRAMP 2..

The first TRAMP was in the 50,s I think.
Used to be pics in their catalog, I was a dealer for them in the early 80,s..

 great folks to deal with..

Denis had the bike in his display in Seattle's Motorcycle Show last year.

As long as we were asking for Old B'ville fotos I included it.

It sure as hell isn't a piece from the '50's.

For the Harley lovers that slobber, at least it won't be on my laptop.

I hope it is important to the Hog crowd.

The lettering on the bike says "Tramp III".

Well while we are at it, have a look at some history.

I had to keep the bike from falling over when they went to get the stand.

That's as close to 200 MPH as my ass is likely to ever achieve.

If one is going to pose, it may as well be on something enviable.

Bear with me hear, I just got a new scanner/everything and am trying to figure out how to send pictures to the correct place to post them here.  If this works it should have a picture of the Turbinator.  Most of the pictures I have are from 87 and newer.
