Better color accuracy on this one.  That's Ron's navy blue Jeep Cherokee in the background with the big yellow stripe on the side.

Wally had a huge smile when he stopped for his timing slip after his first run that day.  What a great guy!

Not all race cars make it down the course, even if they get to Wendover.

Clean, well planned and loved by the oil cartel.

He drove it from Pennsylvania.

How old would you be now if you didn't know how old you are?

By the way, he also drove the microbus to Maxton.  He did run it down the track, hurt the motor pretty bad, and had to trailer it home.  There's a racer for you -- willing to race his daily (I wonder) ride...and suffer the consequences.

I met Kenny ( the owner/builder/regular daily driver ) in '07 at the Motel   6 in Wendover.  Wonderful, friendly man, with all the time in the world to answer questions about the bus.  Looking forward to seeing him again soon!    Crow

You'll have to shout!  He doesn't hear well after driving that unit all day.  Gets better in about a half hour after he shuts it down.  I wonder about the heat in the enclosed "engine compartment" on that rig.
