Oh, our new national holiday.
Seen it all, done it all, can't remember most of it.

If I might interrupt this discussion of the website's various conceptual frammistans, the bikes are about to run again.  They'll start, as earlier, at about the 1 1/2.  I haven't heard which one will run yet - will keep you up to date.  (post)

Bike 1979, Al Lamb, is rolling.  Through the three mile.  Slowing at the 3 3/4.  Fire and Ambulance rolling just in case.  Bike is at the return road, thumbs up, rider and bike are okay.

Al reported big vibration, shut down just in case.

I love the USA. How much longer will we be a free nation?

Asking questions is one's only way of getting answers.

Tman, that's cool with me!  The more folks that watch this stuff -- the better, and HAMB people are danged near as good as LSR ones (just had to say that -- watch the hackles rise now  ).

BUDJ63 --

Geez, I hadn't seen that.  Cool-o-matic, and I guess I'd better look at the stats more often, hey?  Thanks.

Jon, looking at whos online I see a ton of HAMBers registered here as well! If anyone knows how to drive traffic it is Ryan on the HAMB. I hope the increase will lead to more ad dollars for you!

SSS,

I just had a great thought. Go ask George Poteet to donate the ventilated block to Landracing.com. That would be a great item for the site to auction off, and raise some money to keep operating, and keep George and Ron's name in the news.

Glen,

It would be a great wall hanger. I would bid on it if it was auctioned here, only to help the site. Otherwise I am not interested, as you have pointed out I have enough junk.

Hey, Slim:

When I was there yesterday, one of the P&M guys told me they had a "B" (366 to 440? No rule book in hand) motor, in addition to the now-ventilated 347 ("C") unit.  There was also talk earlier of "the big motor".  Any idea what that might be?

With all the drive line problems, maybe the "D" (299) motor is in order.

There were about 10 or 12 of us down at the 5 & 1/2 yesterday when George went by at 357/358/362.  I certainly won't forget that!

Also, any flamingo sightings yet?

I'm in SLC now.  Back there tomorrow - hope somebody's still there after all the carnage!

We're a few minutes from a run by Al on the 1979 bike.  Not much else going on now.  Erin and Andy, the "tandem bike" riders, have left the salt.  Speed Demon is in the pit and being worked on.  Leslie and her bike are in the pit.

Locking down the salt for Al's run.  Running in about thirty seconds per James Rice in the timing tower.

No run - electrical problem, returning to pits.  Salt is unlocked.
