Sound check?  Gremlin in the broadcast computer or from the server, don't know which.  Little window says contact admin, but I'll just keep refreshing during important times.

Looks like Leslie made it aout 200 yards, the bike quit, has now been tailered back to thepit - again.  In the meantime, Drew is finished measuring Al's bike, so that is a soog thing.  Speed Demon is near the far end (trailering at 10 mph on a bumpy twelve-mile-long track takes a while.  10 MPH?  Well, maybe they wind it up to 20 on the good parts -- but not much more than that.  Stay tuned, but nothing happening right now.  Assen still fitting some other obdywork.  We're still waiting to hear from the shop n Sandy about when (if?) the little bike will get here.  Sure is depressing. . . :cry:

Assen's engine is being run -- sounds nice from 150 yards. . .

Really great to hear of Al's record - congratulations all!   And thanks Slim and Nancy for the reporting - it gives a soft landing to being back in the office  :cry:  after being on The Salt yesterday  :-D

George is in the car and they're getting ready to run the Speed Demon.  They'll run on their own record -- about 363 with the little D motor.  Maybe two minutes -- course is clear and locked down.

Engine on the Speed Demon is started.  Chase vehicle in position, support truck at the six mile, canopy is down, car is moving out.

Car is off the push truck.  

Course steward reports a vehicle on the track.  WHAT!!!???

Car is at the nine and accelerating.  Through the eight.  Entering timed stretch  436 entry   kilo  441  mile 441  exit 445

Chute is out, cheering in the SD pit.  

Car is in the pit, engine idling 'til it stopped moving, shut off, starting return prep.

The sound of it dropped slightly as it came into the mile, but the engine sounded great going past the tower and on through the lights.   Fantastic.
