FYI If Speed Demon is running FIA Class A 1 10 the mile record is:

Bob Herda 1967 345.760

I can't tell ya how fast he ran...but I think it was pretty close to record speed.  Here's a photo of him in the timed mile:

I just wanted to thank everyone for the updates and pictures they are really appreciated! It is definitely the next best thing to being there. I truely wish I was there though especially after reading how fast the speed demon ran that would have been worth all the waiting in between runs. It blew my mind when I saw that speed I think the hairs on my arms even stood up. Also congratulations  to George and the rest of the speed demon crew that is truely an incredible feat, if you run today good luck and be safe.

I'm hearing rumors that vary from: Speed Demon hopes to run as early  as possible, namely 0800;
to they are still awaiting parts, and may not be able to go until
noonish .

Can anybody confirm or deny one way or the other?
