I'm not sure about that, Sparky.  I seem to recall Mike Akatiff posting something that indicated that if then new average is faster than the old one (period) it's a new record.  I wouldn't bet the farm on it, but I might slap down the $25 casino chip that one of the Québécois gave to me in exchange for a $10 print.  :)  His English was about good as my 40-year-old French (with a Moroccan accent vs his from Quebec), but we managed to communicate.  I offered him a 2nd and even a 3rd print for that value and he said, "Je suis content," or, "I'm happy with it."  It's been a very, very strange week.

Jon,

What great coverage..I had to work today and am just now getting the updates....ten pages additional from yesterday and a other couple of pages added since I signed on a few minutes ago!!!!!

You were able to put us all on the salt with you and Nancy by sharing your photos and updates. I hope you realize how much we've enjoyed being able to get the play-by-play from each and every run.

"Thank you" does not seem like enough words for all you've done. I've truly enjoyed the last few days of your coverage and hope you do take some time to run the bikes at the WF. We like the coverage but we know you and Nancy love riding the bikes!!!

Hope to be able to meet you and Nancy in person at a future event and shake your hand and tell you thanks again.

PS....
Love the bike coverage.......Congratulations to the Bub team for a job well done!!!!

Ray,
Take that chip down and make some more camera equipment out of it at the tables. You are doing a great job bud. BTW T-ville is quiet tonite. Drove by your subdivision on the way home. Take it easy and get some sleep. You've earned it.

Mike's answer the last time on this 1% rule was not very clear - unfortunately, also other people I asked at the WoS didn't understand his answer. So it is not clear if the 1% rule which was for a long time in the rule book, is still a rule. I hoped that Mike Stanton or Malcolm Pittwood could give an answer - but I heard nothing from them.

Ray, you and Jon done a great job - and Jon - give Nancy the ride - I saw that Nancy was very disappoint after this small trouble with the foot which ropped her the chance to get the red cap.

Ray - I'm looking for to see you in a week.

BTW - in Germany - if under friends someone call you a OLD RAT - it means you be absolute right - someone you can trust in every situation

....and now get your nap - you deserve it.....

BTW 2 - Jon - when I will see my WoS picture on Landracing......I done a nightshift in the Motel 6 to get them ready

I have just got in at dinnertime over here in the UK, to find the 10 new pages on the thread. WOW, what a performance by the whole BUB7 team! Brilliant, and such a nice bunch of guys! Gabriel.

To all who offered thanks: YOU'RE WELCOME!!!!

I'm at the timing stand, middle of the timed mile, waiting for the Buckeye Bullet to start...scratch that...just went by at 299...photo in a minit.

Here's the shot, mile speed: 296.782.  They're preparing for a return run.  More news in about 45 minutes.

Isn't BB2 running against the BB record?  Thought that was 315 or so.  Maybe set during speedweek not FIA.

Just looked, BNI record 314.958 in E3.  since that is by weight are they the same class in BB2?

No, The Buckeye Bullet is running on the record they set earlier in the week, and that was an open record.  The old record was for the BATTERY car -- this is the fuel cell car.  Completely different classes, cars, and records.  But thanks for asking.
We're in the pits next to the Mormon Missile, which engine is idling -- sounds like my Duramax pickup but with just a bit more authority.  Maybe it's the exhaust -- a little less restriction.

Anyway, the BB is getting the body panels back on and we're about ready to lock down the pits so BB can make a return run.

BB has about 20 minutes remaining to finish the return run.

Looks like the BB is back at the Zero and getting ready to run.  About 12 minutes left (by my clock) to get through the exit light about seven miles from here.  Wind is a bit of a headwind for them from here -- 1-2 mph.  60F and clear (nothing unusual for this neighborhood, hey?).

Canopy is down, crew is in the push truck, car about ready to run.

Car is under way.   Through the one mile.

At the two and building speed fast.

Through the three  at the four looking strong.    through the five and sounds like a rocket.

Entry speed   290      kilo   294    mile   294    a little below what they wanted.

High speed chute still out, on the track, car slowing.

At the ten, fire and ambulance are following the car -- all's okay.

Hey slim, could you find out for sure.  I know the FIA record was open, as they set BNI with BB.  BB2 uses electric motors powered by the fuel cells instead of by batteries.  Did not think it was a different class.  At least it was not in SCTA events.  E3
