While we're all waiting for some news of any kind, I guess I'll put my two cents worth in.  To paraphrase Mark Twain, "The reports of my Last Hurrah have been greatly exaggerated."

Everytime Denis fires up Lucky 7 it gets the old adrenelin going again.  If all goes well the Vincent streamliner, Black Lightning will be at the Mike Cook Shootout in 2010.  I'm planning to by pass the Bub Meet next year.

...will that be with or without the sidecar?

Do any of you know if Mike Cook has set the date for the 2010 Shootout yet?  Have the Bub Meet dates been set for 2010?  Any information would be appreciated. 

Probably will run the sidecar and solo, both FIM and AMA.

Max, I haven't heard any word on when (or if, for that matter) there'll be the Shootout in 2010.  I would be very surprised and disappointed if there isn't one -- but the nature of the event, including high costs per entrant, make it such that Mike might take his time to be sure of what and who will show up before he sets a firm date.  Perhaps Mike Jr. will see this thread and comment.

However -- I believe the Shootout is "usually" the week right after World of Speed -- putting the Shootout in mid-September.  If you want Mike's phone number -- PM me.

Does this mean the Target 550 car will be there? Awful early to be asking that question unless you need reservations?

Trust me, Dean (and Freud, for that matter):  You won't have any difficulties getting rooms for the Shootout - assuming it's at about the same time as it has been.  Last year we rented a room for 12 days in a row and got a well-discounted price in return.  but last year WoS and the Shootout were back-to-back on the calendar.  With WoS moving dates - I dunno if it'll be that easy this year.  Sure hope so -- it's a long way back and forth from Skandia, Michigan to Wendover.

Back to when will the '12 iteration of Shootout will be:  I know that Junior Cook looks at this Forum now and then.  maybe he'll let us know what will be the date.
