Here are some shots Nancy and I took in the pits a little while ago -- during the Bub turnaround.

Not everyone uses the high-bucks stuff -- Car Quest is just fine, thank you:

where is the record headed next?

this is almost as exciting as the early 60s when breedlove, arfons and arfons were swapping records back and forth.

thanks again to slim, nancy, ray and everyone else out there on the great white for sharing the wonderful information.

oh... elmo just said to pass along congrats for him!

Buckeye Bullet driver is in the vehicle, and their porta-pit is at about the 8 mile and heading this way.  The BB team in the pits down here are all standing and looking up the course.  There's lots of excitement over there.  Speaking of excitement, I wonder if there'll be any left by the time Bub's gets back here. . .  Yeah, I think so.  good job -- such a fine display of teamwork during the turnaround.  They did it about 30 feet in front of my position -- so I got the closest look I've ever had of a team doing that chore.  Quite a sight.

Bullet will run in about two minutes, their porta-pit has stopped in mid-course to let the car run.

Buckeye Bullet is under way.
