BUB launch:

Between the 2nd and 3rd photo I watched as the tow line made more and more of an angle away from the bike.  It seemed like it was gonna pull it right over on its side...but it didn't.  FIM Charlie may have one of the more famous rental cars in LSR history.

Jon, if they are adding Nitro, it wouldn't be in the tank unless they are nuts........... has to be done with a hydrometer and glass beaker, or one of the new trick hand held units.  Never the less, it wouldn't be done in the tank................ Bob

Looks like the only vehicle planning to run yet today is the 757 Camaro.  They'll push down to the 1 1/2 for another 5-mile run.

The car is owned by Jack Rogers and driven by Steve Strupp (pronounced Stroop, according to Dan Warner).

They're pushing down to the 1 1/2 right now.  Earlier the car ran a 240 or so, I think I remember hearing.  I was escorting the jet bike -- didn't write down the numbers.

Other stuff:  The Missile is partly apart -- right rear wheel off (showing the dual caliper brake), they're working on the exhaust, crew in a very good mood as they work.

The snomo team is still wrenching across the course from me -- hope they get it all together for a run tomorrow.  Speed Demon is bundled up and the team has left the salt.  I heard Ron Main on the phone making dinner plans -- sounds like Mildred's hamburgers gets that crowd tonight.  The B Bullet team has left the salt for the evening.  The jet bike crew is working, but doesn't look like a thrash -- just working.

I guess you'd know about the nitro, Bob.  Thanks -- sure is strong smelling ethanol.

The 757 car is pushing past me right now, going to the 1 1/2.  This'll be it for the evening.

The Camaro is running -- at the three mile.  The Speed Demon crew ate at the Stateline buffet last night -- so did we.  Disappointing  dinner -- I'd certainly prefer the Rainbow.

The Camaro ran 245 entry, 246 kilo, 246 mile, 248.557 exit.

Chute came out and worked fine.  All's done for the day -- we're about to head home.  I'll stick around for a couple of minutes, then head to the apartment.

Mildred's is owned and run by some school teachers, I think -- so their schedule revolves around coaching the volleyball team and classes.  I know that from last year when they opened one evening at ab out 7.30 -- after a game.

Okay -- moving towards Land's End and going home.  See you in the morning, boys and girls.
