Hey, it's not over 'til it's over.  The Buckeye Bullet is being pushed onto the transporter for a return run.  Car is off the ground and ready to go to the Zero.

The Bullet is at the Zero and being removed from the transporter.   Buckeye team has just less than 20 minutes remaining in the one-hour time window for a record.  They report they'll be underway in less than five minutes.

Canopy is up and driver entering the car.  Canopy is now closed, Buckeye requesting clear course, crew getting in the push truck.

Car is under way being pushed.   Car is on its own power and ac cdelerating past us.  WHOOOOOOOOSH!

Moving through the one mile and accelerating hard.

Note that they haven't had any handling issues.  Decent!

Past the two, at the three and looking good per Lynda.

Sounding excellent at the four, coming at you, tower.

Entering the timed mile/kilo
Entry speed:   300.324

Kilo  303.896

mile  303.795

Exit speed  307.011 mph -- best run they made.

Full stop at the 9 3/4.  Crew is celebrating, no doubt, no doubt.

Okay, everyone -- the meet is ended.  I'll pack up our stuff, return the FM radio to Cook LSE, and Nancy and I will head to town to take the race trailer to the airport for tomorrow's airshow.

Whew, I'm beat. My typing fingers are worn to the bone.  Well, okay, not really.  I love this stuff and thank you all for sticking with us during the events.

To Pork Pie:
Do you get a chance to watch the Petit LeMans from Atlanta on Saturday?
We'll see how well the French can practice running from the Germans; something they've gotten good at over the last 80 years or so.
Also, I'll talk to the chef (chief) and see if we can do Tex-Mex, or Bar-B-Que,
or perhaps, Thai again when you get here.
Keep in touch, Ray can shoot you my home E-mail.
Regards,
Jim

Hi Jim, need me a while to figure out who is behind Texmex...  :-D ....think we make simple a phone call when I'm back on Ray's place. No, I haven't a chance to see Petit's (I know French girls...) from Atlanta....we are here in the American backyard....called Germany.....

Since one Bullet shot is very much like another (well, those of it going thru the timed mile) I'll just post this one of it almost at the end of the mile showing vapor discharge from the vent tube on the side of the liner.

Looking on that picture....d a m n......this streamliner got a lot of lift on the front.......not a good sign....

Glen, you be right....the canopy side panels got a bigger gap on the front than on the rear...looks like that the whole frame is bend from the front to the rear by the lift from the front......outsch....
