I got home yesterday afternoon and have finally caught up on sleep, I still need to unpack the car.
Just finished recharging camera batteries and about half done saving all the images to the hard drive.

Had a great time!
Mike as usual you run a great meet which is a pleasure to cover.
Can't wait for next year, too bad Leslie and Nancy could not get any runs in, and Ron and George could not backup their fantastic run early in the meet.

Congratulations to those that did get the records that they were shooting for!

Larry

Anyone have any contact information on Jamie (the guy who's bike caught on fire?) Working on an article on the Shootout and would really like to get in touch with him.

Thank you

Well, Rocky I was going to suggest that you contact Mike Cook, but I'm betting Stan has already sent you the information!!

I'm glad you are doing okay, that was quite a scare you gave us all!!  You take care of yourself and heal up nicely.

Tell your wife thank you for sharing you with us.  We all have tremendous admiration for what you do and appreciate the sacrifices she has made to allow us to share in the thrills of your successes.

Of course I'm hoping you will return next year for that 400 mile-an-hour run, but nothing will take away the excitement of all your accomplishments and the honor I (we) feel for knowing you and watching you fly down the salt!

Thank you for allowing us to share the excitement.

What goes on at the tower doesn't stay at the tower, since the advent of the InterWebs.

Mr. Rice & Trimmers test the Kettlercar, James lifted the front wheels off the ground starting off in 2nd gear:

Name the movie?

Bones, mechanic for Greg Watters of Oz.  They stayed after WoS to see the  Richard Assen NZ team run.

The usually invisible audio guy at the Salt Cat Cafe with Wayno.

Does Drew Gatewood certify AMA records at the Shootout?

Speaking of inspectors:

Slim, Max, Ray and everyone else, thanks for the great coverage.  Following the meet on your posts and seeing the pictures is always a highlight of my year.

The usually invisible audio guy at the Salt Cat Cafe with Wayno.

let me guess, you were waiting for an "owl stuffed with peanut butter and an apple juice"..........

On our last morning there I watched as a big Texan espoused the virtues of the proprietor to his friends, said boss then came over and offered BT a drink to which he eventually relented , "OK, just a very small one" as he made a gesture with his fingers an inch apart, boss then came back with the most enormous milkshake cup(that he had to hold with both hands) I've ever seen........

I loved it there.
