Ray, have you caught a pic of Stan Johnson's '27?  He and Curt and the crew are supposed to be out there.  I think it's # 339, and a beautiful car, at that.

On, Wisconsin!

5511B    Sir Speedy Honda    1000CC    P-P        196.476    197.116    Honda

From what I am seeing Leslie has upped the record! Will 200.xxx be next? Or unload the turbo bike and see what she has in it?

Congratulations to Leslie and Crew!

any word on #33 liner?

I haven't seen the #33 Maro liner run since Saturday.

I've just had my own little bit of fun.  I got busy with everything and let the inverters draw the battery in the Burb down...that was after fixing a water leak earlier in the day.

Lucky I had something I was gonna experiment with.

A 45w solar power supply that brought the battery from 11.1v to 12.1v and I was able to get the thing started.  I think I'm thru for the day.

Ray,  I want to get a solar charging set-up for our High School team - what exactly do you have and where can I get it?  let me know when you have time.  Really enjoy this thread, thank you.

The black Gus Gus liner in the pix with the heat distortion - how are they doing?  They certainly are living their dream.

Harbor Freight.  "Regular price", $300.  "Usual Price", $200.  With a coupon, $150.  Both Texican and I have one.

As far as I know, it's the only 45 watt unit they sell.

In re: Harbor Freight's 45 watt solar unit -- Don Pearsall and I also have them.  I bought mine for about $150 including shipping - by ordering it on the 4th of July.  They had a 25% discount on anything that date.  I'm using just one panel (15 watt/panel, three in the kit) to keep the battery up in the trailer/pit - might put two of 'em in service today, just to see what happens.  I've got the rack (supplied, but pretty cheesy) mounted on the roof of the trailer.  The controller and mount and panels come ingeniously well packed in a box, by the way - good example of cramming stuff -- sorta like Ikea, I hear.
