Don Jackson, who's Salt27 on this Forum, is in impound at about 112, I think it was.  It's an old Yammy 2-stroke that was just short of seizing, he said -- but he's in impound.  I remember seeing the trailer for one of the 750cc Moto Guzzi scoots -- Team Subtle Crowbar.  I don't know the speed.  If there were other bikes I missed 'em -- was concentrating on getting Nancy's ZX15P through tech -- which we did.

Ryan Osti is through, too, and so is the Big Blue #991 ZX14 from Texas.  Those were the bikes in line around us -- but I don't know who else is teched but not running.  I'll get some more information, no doubt, by reading the posts from RtRat.

Ha.  Here is a picture of the SSS pits I'll always remember . . .

Ray, Ray, if you think you can take cool photos using the moon and a great car -- what do you think of this one?

How 'bout this?

Or maybe this?

I didn't think much about the fact that we had a nice moon rising 'til Nancy mentioned it as we were leaving the salt after our evening of pit-closing duties.  We were within a mile or so of Land's End when we (okay, when I) decided to turn around and drive all the way back to the SSS pit for these photos.  Not the greatest subject, maybe, but a good moonrise is only available to us once in a long while out here -- so we did return to the pit and did take some photos.  Whether or not they're calendar (note the correct spelling, Jim) -- you've gotta try to grab the opportunity and go with it.

Thanks to all, and to all a good night.

Also, ask him what type of oiling he is using- premix or injection.

I've got to find out more about that bike!

Unh, let's see -- World of Speed, for sure, 'cause I recognize Lawson's SuperCoupe trailer behind us at the September meet - unh, mmm, '06?  I know it was the '04 pickup -- and I think '06 was about the last year we had that trailer.  Maybe '07. . .

Nancy and a few of the kids and I went to the Nugget tonight to see and be seen.  I caution you that these photos are candids shot in less-than studio lighting -- but I hope they let you see some of the fun stuff we saw.

I gotta get me an early 50s Merc. . .

Poor spelling,I know, but the figure with the garters was cool.  I like the old pinup shots (see my tattoos of Nancy, for example):

And then there was this dude riding (stepping?) along the salt today:

And finally -- this guy caught hanging around in the tech insp. line late this afternoon:

C U Tomorrow, ladies and gentlemen.  Signed -

I think I'm back online.  I found a setting way down in the middle of my Android phone that was incorrect.  Only fought it for 6 hours.

Anyway, here's a shot of the sunset from last night and one of Mike Cook leaving the line on his return run this morning.

Thanks for all the reporting Jon and Ray. It is appreciated. If they are posting speeds from the day before like they have in the past, take a high res photo of that and post it here.
