Ray, Slim, as always, your documentation of this event is world class.

We're under way!  First of all, though, some shots from the drivers meeting, including Glen Barrett being awarded the Bob Higbee award for volunteers.  Congratulations, Glen -- from Nancy and me and all of us here on landracing.com.

Gotta interrupt myself -- the Poteet & Main Speed Demon is about to leave the line -- running on a 366.043 record in C./BGS.  I'll post speeds and then get back to the photos.  Non I won't -- he went past here shooting ducks-- maybe 200, maybe not even that.

Okay -- the meeting.

Here's Prozac -- Bob Sights.  Ready for this?

Enough for now -- but we'll be back.  By the way, nobody has qualified yet.  But - it's about 15 minutes into the firs day of a seven day meet.  Stay tuned.

George Poteet just put the Blowfish into impound with a 300 run -- on an old Tom Burkland 294 record.  Exit speed was 303.  Fastest run of the meet so far -- but heck, we've been running for all of what, a half-hour?

4 more.

3 shady characters with cameras

Bobby Moore's liner

The Whytrock Olds with some smoke coming from the rear of the motor...I think it was just some spillage, nothing serious

The first car down the track, Carter Lloyd's fwd roadster.

Just a minor correction.   The Blowfish driver is Danny Burrow.

Ah, crud -- did it again.  I heard the announcer say the Poteet word -- didn't hear the name  Burrows.  Thanks, Ray.

Those of us east of the Mississippi are dying to hear some sounds. Did I miss the link, or did that part fall through.
