I'm heading for Salt Talks.  Maybe I can get more photos later.

Isn't technology wonderful! Last year we were up there thrashing on the Roadster and didn't have a clue what anyone else was doing. Couldn't make it this year and can't wait to start seeing results.

The minute by minute updates @ the Shootout last year spoiled us.

Jon & Ray, thanks for all the posts! Not as good as being there, but still good.

Tom

For many years SCTA-BNI has had their results and pictures pages up before the start of Speedweek and started posting pictures during prep and throughout the event along the results every night.  So there must be an issue with not having someone to do it or some other problem.  Oh well even though I am not racing this year I plan to be out there on Tuesday.

For the past few years we had daily updates and fotos from Ed Safrick starting with set up and all the preliminary stuff like inspections as such. I remember him staying up at the Motel loading the results as they came in day to day. He must not be available or busy doing something else. Looks like we all miss his great input and pics..............

A real gully washer just came through the Bend in the Road  :-(

Any update on the motorcycle streamliner that went down this afternoon? It did not look good from our vantage point. Hope the rider is ok.

Just pulled up the radar - looks like the worst of it is behind you.  Might get breezy tonight.  Everything buttoned down?

I just heard via Facebook from a reliable source that Ray passed away today out on the salt from a heart attack. He will be sorely missed, great great photographer for all of us. Our prayers for his family, God Speed Ray, rest in peace.

To clarify, It WASN'T Ray the Rat!

This happended 3 days ago, and it was a photographer, but NOT Ray the Rat.

I spoke to Ray today, and he's fine.

Troy, Danny, George & the boys went 315.9 mph at the 5 with a 320 exit in the Blowfish. I think that qualifies!

Haller, as a law enforcement officer I can't imagine you posting that B S about RAY.

RAY WHO?  Do you forget your law enforcement principles when you set down to the computer.

It just so happens that there was more than one RAY at Speed Week.

It just so happens that Ray Therat was in a foto with Treit, Dickie, an myself.
