George Poteet in the 715 C/BFS just ran 376 middle mile -- which qualified him.  But no, he didn't lift -- last mile was 408.460 and exit speed 421.009.

Dang, wait'll they step up the tuneup!  Congratulations.  I'll post and add some more.

This morning Lelie Porterfield bumped the 1000 P/P bike record to about 197 and Kathy Butler bumped it a bit, too.  And Andy Sills is here to work on it as well.  Competition in the liter bike class!.

Sheri Buchta just ran -- about 2 mph off the 125 or so she needed.

Don Jackson backed up his record on the 350 Turbo Yamaha -- didn't have the final number, but he thinks it'll be in the low 100 range.  Open record -- but he's a rookie this year (having spectated with son Gus for a long time) - so he doesn't realize what a great thing it is to get a record at Bville -- whether open or soft or whatever.  Congratulations.

Here's a shot of the Demon leaving the line.

Don Jackson told me he was waiting for the motor in the Yamaha to blow all to h*ll; I'm sure glad to hear that he backed the record up.

Ray, it's all yours for a while.  We're heading to Smith's to buy the food for Salt Talks right now -- oughta be back on the salt by 12.30 (it's 11.15 right now).  Later -- and it's all yours  :-D

My friend Danny Burrow was supposed to make a backup run in the Blowfish this morning.  Any numbers?

I heard that he backed up the record,  but I don't have the speed.

RTR, SSS and Nancy,
Thanks for all the great coverage, I'll have to get a new keyboard. It's the beginning of Speedweek and my refresh button is already worn out.
Steve, at least we're not alone in missing the action...comfort in numbers, right?  Not.

JC- are you feeling the pain too?  The good news is my Chevron & Conoco Fuel bill will be lower this month.
I thought you and Dave were going for sure? I'm so depressed about not being there, I may just start Drinking again.
