Dave ran the car later this afternoon on course 2.  Nothing outa sight but a decent run.  I don't remember the speeds.  Two runs so far this meet.

Did Slim not put the mic outside this morning ?

Lots of records falling this week, so the salt must be in very good condition.  That's great

Lots of records? The SCTA website only shows seven new records on the long course for the first two days (Sunday & Monday), and not that many more on the short course.   As for the salt, I drove it in the rental car.  It's better than last year (which doesn't take much!), but not that great.  There are marginal spots here and there.  I talked to one driver who told me the reason for his spin was hitting a soft spot.   I'm still waiting for SCTA to post the records that were set yesterday (Tuesday) morning.

The other day I looked at the SCTA website's lists of fastest run by each car on Saturday and Sunday.  Didn't look at the bikes.  So very few cars listed.  I hope it was wrong.  An El Mirage meet has more runs in one day.

And, I guess, we have to assume that a course you can run the complete distance on without breaking is deemed a "good" course nowadays by the SCTA.

As early as Saturday afternoon, there were times with zero cars lined up to run in the Course #1 staging lanes.

Now that SCTA posted yesterday's results, I think that - for the first time since 2018 - somebody got a Red Hat at Speedweek!  It would appear that Ronald Dean got one in D/MGT (listed Club minimum = 215MPH) at 219.239 against an open record.  Congratulations!

Congrats speed demon team on new record. The length of the Burkland's record lets you know this is no easy feat, especially acknowledging where we come with engine controls since 2004.

No easy feet, but money spent by Speed demon  compared to Burland would be a shocker.

 Also hands on building.
