Well I'll be go to h*ll.  I drove past just now and there sure enough IS a car show at the Nugget.  I didn't drive in and park but will try to do so tomorrow.  I could see a good bunch of cars - definitely worth checking out while you're in town.

Other stuff:  Tomorrow the driver meeting opens the day, and the schedule calls for racing per se to begin around 10.00.  Okay, I guess so - although it often is later than that.  Whatever, the schedule says racing will end at 5.30 PM every day (but Friday/last day).  That's earlier than in the past few years, no doubt thanks to the lower entry count this year.  On the same lines, racing will start with record return runs, like always, but they will be starting at 7.30 vs. the 7.00 we've been using for years.

Rich Trimmers, the chaplain from Racers for Christ, reports that he's bowed to public pressure and added a second Sunday morning service.  6.30 and 9.30 this coming Sunday.

The Speed Demon pit has a cool collection of old swag as well as current stuff.  I got a couple of shirts from George's "Camel Toe Racing" team days.  Check it out.

I haven't figured out if I'll be getting decent data in a timely manner for the broadcast, so you and I should just hope for the best, okay?  We'll see how it works when the Rice brothers set it up tomorrow.

Deep enough!  C ya tomorrow.

It appears things are working so let's get going!

Ther stream is up, they're testing the timing lights now, I just got my FM radio so IO can hear what's going on, but nobody has set up my monitors so I can tell youse guys what's what.  Patience!  We'll get it working soon.

I saw the Guthrie-Levie bike headed for the line as I drove in - didn't notice any others in particular, but there's no doubt - lotsa bikes and cars at the line, waiting, waiting.

GOOD MORNING!  IT'S SpeedWeek!!

Looking at photos on bangshift.com noticed a lot of disregard of face mask wearing. How are they controlling that requirement?

Just as Speed Demon was about to make its first pass, someone came into my office and started talking to me.  I didn't hear the speed?

Can anyone post the speed for #715?

Thanks,

Steve.
