Alright Speed Demon freaks. They are getting ready to start the engine. Then load it up,should be on the starting line soon. A little while ago CA was 6100 ft. Hope the new track is good in the 5 mile
For those not on the Book of Face:

The Demon appears to have a set a new AA/BFS record at 437+.  Yesterday afternoon they went 428 (exit speed 436).  Impound overnight.  Ran again early this morning and reached a 450 avg (exit speed 460.6).   Well done!  :cheers:

If I read the SCTA/BNI records list right, that leaves Danny T at 448 in AA/FS and Turbinator II at 482 in T3 as the remaining faster wheel-driven vehicles.

Great stuff, wish I were there!

 :cheers: :cheers: :cheers:

Slim;

So you're single-handedly manning the microphone?  You are doing a fine job of keeping all of us informed and entertained, Jon.

Congrats speed demon team on new record. The length of the Burkland's record lets you know this is no easy feat, especially acknowledging where we come with engine controls since 2004.

Word is the Demon team are using the 450 pass this morning as a qualifying run and will try to back it up with another 450+ run later today.

Can't do that. Each qualifying/backup  run is a pair. Using the 450 run another record is not allowed under SCTA rules. FIA allow any set of consecutive runs to be used as record factors.

Hudson?s 650cc bike seemed to never run out of RPM. Such a beautiful and sweet sounding engine.
