Have we figure out what FIM class William's is running & what the record is? (I'm still trying to find the listings I know where available once upon a time)

So why does Bub not count towards a red hat. Is it because they don't have a Bonneville 200 club official on site? Is that why they do their own club or do they just not want to have any affiliation or vice versa?

Miss you my friend :-* - #1302  Twin Jugs Racing

I believe they have there own red hat program.

Don't qoute me on this but the club decided that they would not accept a ama record. But they would accept a fim only.   I don't think this is proper thread to discuss this debate.  Search archives on this discussed in depth.

The Spectre 'liner has been covered extensively in the San Jose Mercury News both before and after Speedweek. This makes me think it's from somewhere around San Jose.

During the racing season the Spectre Streamliner is based out of Performance Fabrication in San Carlos, CA. San Carlos is also the home of the Mcdonald/Pitts Firebird which was also built by Steve the owner of Performance Fabrication. The Hoffman/Markly streamliner which still owns some of the records that Speed Demon is eyeing was also born in San Carlos.

During the off season the car travels the car show circuit for Spectre, which is based in Ontario, CA. You can find Spectre products in just about any auto parts store - head to the performance isle and you’ll find them there. High quality stuff that Amir developed to appeal to the masses.

Just a little "filler" between our diligent correspondents doing their front line reports.  Are SSS & Nancy going to be at WF?

First things first -- the Spectre is at the 12 mile and they're icing the intercooler for a run in the next little while.  The support vehicles are heading back to the pits.

Next -- Nancy and I fly back to home this Saturday and spend dang near a week there -- then fly to Las Vegas for a tattoo convention on the weekend of the 1-3 October ( http://tattooexpo2010.com/), then go to SLC and drive back to WF.  We'll get here Sunday  night to start working on the course Monday morning.

Course is now locked down -- Spectre will run in a few minutes.

I got some story on the Ack bike's run from this morning -- will fill you in on the story after the Spectre makes a run.  But to tease -- the trouble Rocky had with the bike going left -- was because of a bad tire.

Weather Alert!

It's 1:13PM, Wednesday, 22 SEP.  I'm at Dugway Rroving Ground.  It's raining here, and moving west at 30 mph. Appears to be a good size front.

See you out on the salt this weekend.  JL

   Thanks Slim

How good is the course and is there a problem dragging the course smooth, at speedweek the course was not as smooth as in the past.
