Wait... Nish doesn't run a turbo or intercooler.    Must have been the traction control hose...

Yeah, Jon, you're right.  That'll teach me to report what I hear on the radios.

Speed Demon is out of turbos for now.  Turbonetics will arrive Wednesday morning with spare parts - they'll run N/a tomorrow - since they've gotta pull the broke parts off anyway.

Still no word on whether Nish will try to run.  It's getting late -- barely enough time to put it together, tow to the far end, and get in a run  and still have the hour for a return run.  They did start the engine a little while ago.  It's still off -- no body parts on the car, either.

Well, they're putting the top on the car.  They're putting the car on the transporter trailer.   Stay tuned.  Put the TV dinner in the oven and get back to the computer, hey?

By the way, The Ack pit is torn down for the night -- and the bike is in the carrier for morning.  Nearburg's car looks ready to rock and roll tomorrow, too.

Nish car has left the pits for one more try tonight.  Mike will drive in the dark if he has to, I guess -- I noticed they were mounting headlights on the car before it left the pits.

Nish is about two minutes from running.  It's six thirty -- ready to clear the course and the pits.

They have a minor electrical problem - got a replacement module in the pit.  Cook just fetched it and is taking it down the course.  Now we'll get a timing slip on Cook's truck.

Well, maybe it's good that the Nish team got the car running -- Cook's a turnout.

Car has the canopy back on and they're ready to fire up the motor.

Course is clear, tower is clear.  Track is Nish's, canopy is on the car.

Engine is running.  Car is moving.

Through the one.  Still moving, through the two mile.

Car won't shift or something -- engine is off.

That'll be it for tonight, folks.  See you in a little while - I'll not leave 'til I hear if there's anything to tell you.

Coasting slow at the four, probably stopping.

Just talked with Ken Rappaport about the Spectre and the problem.  The course is so rough down at the far end - that the bouncing on the unsuspended car A:  got a hose form the turbo loose, and B: the main wire from the alternator to the battery system melted.  Further research will continue.

Other news:  Scott Horner has just arrived at Land's End and is proceeding to the pits.

No news on whether Nish can repair and re-start yet this evening.

Thanks a bunch for the updates, sure keeps the excitement up for me.

I really hope Nish finds the problems and makes an awesome pass. I know he sure deserves it. He has such a passion for getting the Summers record, he has a fine driver, and a pit crew that is balls to the wall. They are top notch., today was his Bonneville bug day, I think Tuesday will be an outstanding day for the whole Nish Team.

I'm curious to know what a turbo motor will do naturally aspirated in the Poteet camp.

Top 1 Ack Attack I'm sure will not disappoint.

Nearburg and team I bet are ready to put down a good number, they are focused, ready and have been very successful...

The Jet bike guys, they are determined no matter what. I think they are the epitome of what Bonneville is all about. A dream, a build, a thrash, low key and the passion to go fast.

I can't wait for Tuesday's reporting, I think I will just stay up all night and wait.....
