Speedweek 2010

Can some one tell me if there is an RV or trailer park, where you can fill up with fresh water, on the way to the bend in the road?

You turn off the interstate at the truck stop. It is about 1/4 mile from where you will camp. Water, fuel, showers, Mexican restruant, groceries, etc.

Cripes, I hadn't even considered the Casino's not having WiFi... what ('scuse ignorance) is the "welcome centre" and where do I find it???

The Welcome Center is operated by the City of West Wendover, is staffed by a couple of ladies that'll help visitors find local attractions and so on.  It's on the main street, across from the Peppermill Casino, and you can use the wi-fi while outside in the parking lot.  Inside there's a coffeepot and lots of tourist literature and many other things - photos of local interest -- racers, Wendover Airfield, building the area, etc.  It's free, too.

I just looked at the Wendover Airfield weather and see that it's sprinkled a bit this morning -- and that they got about a tenth of an inch the Friday noontime.  I think that this is good - especially a little sprinkle today to help settle the salt as the drag trucks go back and forth. 

Anybody else got a weather report?  We're in NE Idaho and heading for SLC this evening -- arrive Wendover tomorrow mid-morning.

Hi Jon: I know you are on the road and watching this thread so sorry about going off-subject.  Is the posting counter salt-corroded? I don't think it is counting up anymore?
