Great pics, keep up the good work.  Wish I could be there.

Hmm, battery's still only to 78% -- so I'll run with the power supply feeding off the truck battery.

Got Salt lakester just ran a 293.  Nothing like the sound of a motor on lots of "pop" running hard down the salt.  Gotta love it -- keep the memory ready for the coming days of winter.

The pits are starting to get emptier, but there are still many vehicles here to run.

85.552 bike 408 on the short course mile.

Belly tank lakester on the way towards me (per radio).  222.367 1/4 mile, 232.350 first mile,  second mile 250.332,  last mile 253.202.  Now to get a number for the car!

Ray's out at the tower to take some photos - and he's still having trouble posting them with his slow service, but will be staying in town tonight at a facility with fast internet -- so you'll get today's photos tonight.

No news on Gary Harts runs?   Hooley is there and looked like damage to his front air dam early in the weekend.  Looking for more pics and data on Gary H and Hooley H...

To add to SSS's commentary about the top speed so far, it may just get cranked up a bit.  The Speed Demon team is turning up the wick now that they have a record...they're gonna see how fast they can get that 299" motor to run.

I've got a lotta photos I haven't posed, but I have room with broadband tonite and tomorrow (the wind is really messin with the tent sleeping) and I'll try to post a bunch more tonite.

Here are shots of Tanis Hammond obliterating the record for the class she was running in (I don't remember exactly which one it was) and the Demon at about 390 mph.

more later...I'm parked near the timing tower, sitting high atop my Burb, shooting the Long Course at about the 3.5.

Just got the following from Jim Brierley on the #4005 4-ever-4 Special belly tank:

Ron Mosher ran 151 on his second leg of the run for a 153 average.  He said the (my) engine leaked oil (it is a Model A!) and had an exhaust leak but ran really good.  We changed plugs, jets, and advanced the mag a little, changed to fuel class although still running gas, and fired it up.  Well, the exhaust leak was a blown head gasket!  Sooo, changed the gasket and I made a run of 152+ on a 147 record.  Put it in impound, adjusted the valves, looked at the plugs, thought about changing QC gears but were too lazy so went out early this morning for the second leg of the record run, fired it up and it has this really loud noise, like a rod or hopefully a collapsed piston.  It did get pretty hot on the run.  That's all folks!  We were off the salt by 7:30 a.m.
