Why SLC? You can buy fuel from ERC right at the track. Or are you trying to save a buck. You just drive or pull your car up to his trailer and fill up. It is on the way to the start line . . .  can't be any easier than that.

I am cheap but not that cheap!  If they have methanol at the track it is a lot easier and safer than transporting it across the country! See you on the salt!

Thanks!

Colorado Dave is this the first time that you will run at Bonneville? What are you going to run there? Looking at your avatar it looks like you will be running a bike.

No Willie this is the 4th year the bike will be there and the 3rd for me, my father is the main pilot and I get to ride after day 4 or 5, we spoke to you last year about the Seca wheels you were running on your bikes and found one locally so we have made a few changes in the off season. The bike runs in the APG 500 class, it is the blast motor and we are very excited about our chances this year.
What are you running this year? did you get your new project finished?

Dave

Can anyone tell me if there is internet services at the Nugget?  Haven't had opportunity to need one until this year.  Crew Chief Son has all the toys.

The casinos dont want you to stay in your room and WiFi ... they want you to gamble ... They are not really in the hotel business but rather the gambling business. The hotel is only there to keep the gamblers resident at the casino. The room rents are jacked up SW because the racers dont gamble and the casinos would rather you camped on bend in the road. That would leave the rooms for SLC crowd that drop the rent money on the tables ... That is their business plan and it a good one  ...

Their business plan is to fleece a captive crowd. They always have rooms to rent before and after speedweek.
I wonder how full the casinos are this weekend? If any course workers there now,
see this, let us know.

Calm down, John.     Just concentrate on getting a blue hat.

It is supply and demand. It won't change until there is no demand for rooms. Good luck on that happening. With all the publicity Bonneville now gets everyone has it on their bucket list of things to do.

Back to the original question. The Nugget does not have wifi or a business center. The manager has let me use her computer in the past, for flight check-in and to get a boarding pass. However, there is a new manager this year . .  .

From what I understand, there is a free use computer at Montego Bay, the Front Desk would be able to tell you where it is...and it might be possible to use the one at the Pilot Truckstop, if it takes someone with a CDL to be allowed to use it, one of my daughters has her CDL license and could take you there, Lars.

Good point, Lynda. Pilot has a nice set-up there with individual table top booths with phones and wifi for truckers. I haven't used it but it looked quite busy.

Bob, regarding wi-fi, you can get it at the Welcome Center.  Sit in the park and and enjoy the shade.
