Jon;
As a passionate newcomer to LSR, and Landracing.com, it's kind of sad when someone new to the sport tries to come up with possible solutions to a serious problem with the Speedweek event on Landracing.com, and a "Hero Member" makes a smart a.. comment about the blog.
I realize the bend in the road is a nice oasis if it is dry. But if it rains enough to make the bend inhabitable, but not enough to cancel the event, where will these Speedweek participants go? Maybe the chances of rain in August are slim. The Speedweek room situation doesn't effect me as much as it effects the older retired competitors who are living on a fixed income and see the outrageous increase in hotel costs in Wendover. I have to believe this situation is keeping a few from coming, and may keep this sport from growing.
All this said, as a "dumb sh.t" newbie, I've learned my place. The new young blood coming into this sport should keep their opinions to themselves and not get involved.
