Yeah -- and when I emailed to you to tell you that while I could get all of that on the badge but you'd need a magnifying glass to read it all -- the email came bouncing back saying the addy was farkled.

I'll check and be back to you later on.  Heading to bed now -- leave early in the morning for the 1,200 mile ride to Maxton.  Skandia, Michigan is home, Columbus, Ohio is Wednesday night, and Laurinburg for Thursday.  We've got talking books and road snacks and each other -- what else could it take to make a two-day trip?

If you find the bend in the road, a 90 degree right turn as u head for the salt, you will be at

Salt Talks. Anyone parked there can head you toward the masses of people.

If that's your biggest problem, you have no problems. Bring money to support RUFUS.

Freud has it right.  Salt Talks usually has a crowd of about 300++ people, and even in the relatively full area of the Bend in the Road -- you'll find us pretty easily.  If nothing else, look for the plume of smoke from the cooking 'burgers and hot dogs -- and yes, the baking pasties.  By the way, one and all, this year we're having the pasties baked and then wrapped in foil - hoping they'll stay all in one piece better than last year.

Onward and upward.  Still thinking about when to post the pasty pasty photo.

Hi PorkPie,

Yep, off to Bathurst today infact!  delivering another Forklift, may even do a lap of the track.  The web sure makes it a small world.

Thanks Jon / Freud, will see you there.

PS.  who or what is RUFUS?

Rufus is a gent from the nether parts of America, and speaks in a tongue known only by a few.  He also has developed a twitch in the eye -- which is often mistaken by the women as a "come hither" gesture, to which they unanimously react with a smart slap to the face and a knee to the private parts.

He's quite a fellow, for sure.

Dr. Freud will fill you in on the details, and Ray The Rat may add a bit, too.  You'll then be welcome to choose who's story in more believable.

Stan, I apologize.  You're quite right.  How could I do such a thing?

Okay -- I'll end this post and start a new one -- one with no errors, I hope.

Salt Talks prep continues, and here's your update.  The pasty purveyor called this morning to confirm the order.  I'll get 100 6 oz. baked, wrapped in foil, and frozen pasties, to be picked up at Nylund's Pasty factory in Crystal Falls, Michigan, at 10 CDT Friday, 30 July 2010.

I've today sent queries to each of the four folks whose vehicle appears on the Salt Talks 2010 t-shirt, asking their quantity and size requests.  I'll ask you folks to let me know, too, if you want anything other than the "usual" sizes.  For instance -- 5X, or a bunch of small shirts, or whatever.  Commonly we have a plurality of XL, nearly as many L, and some each of 2XL, maybe a 3XL or two, and 10 or so mediums.  Be in touch if you have special requests.

Then there's the latest idea -- landracing.com coffee mugs, similar to the ones we did for the ECTA.  Here's a link to a shot of one of those:  http://www.kudoslaser.com/mugs.htm  The LR.com mugs will have the logo that's in the upper left corner of the home page of the website and will be available in red, black, green, and blue.  $15 each.  We'll have a couple of cases of them with us.  As soon as we get the art work into the computer I'll do one -- and post a photo of it.
