Place won't be the Same, I would think there would be a Hoopla Final Event, not a Oh, we don't need you anymore. Just because they change Frequencies doesn't mean they have to change the "Announcer"

Glen's voice is one of the anchors of the "Bonneville experience".

Sometimes things are done with a great deal of class. This move is exactly the opposite. Those involved should be hanging their heads in shame and hesitating to even show their faces on the salt. NO CLASS!

Wow.   :-(

While FM does make a lot of sense, I always thought you did an excellent job as announcer, and I've heard a lot of bad ones over the years at various places.

It's going to be tough for anyone to fill your shoes.  It's harder than it looks sounds.

"The Voice of Bonneville"

No one can ever take that from you.
You have always been the voice of reason on this forum.

Thank You
Well, it used to be Los Angeles . . . 50 miles north of Fresno now.
Just remember . . . It isn't life or death.
It's bigger than life or death! It's RACING.

Glen, it is a sad bit of news.  You have always been a big part of the Bonneville experience.  Even as I watch videos of past events, and I hear your voice, it is always as if it is part of the run I am watching.  You have always been easy to talk to and very good to all of us who have made land speed racing a part of our lives.

When Glen says "take it to impound" those words rank right along with a Red hat as to something that all Bonneville racers cherish. Glen, you can be replaced but you cannot be equaled!! Especially in the hearts of racers.
