The 2014 Shootout Dates are September 12-16. Here is the link to the latest update of 2014 Shootout competitors. Racers listed here have returned their letter of intent and a deposit for their 2014 entry. There are currently eleven streamliners, three of them motorcycles and one electric, plus one sit-down bike and one snowmobile. Thanks, Ivan. Seems like a combination of a technical issue and lack of adequate funding has caused a year's delay. Kind of normal for land speed record attempts.

Interesting list.  Should be a great event.  Sam Wheeler's PARTS UNLIMITED/EZ HOOK is not powered by a turbo Hayabusa.

Richard, I thought that Sam W. had forsaken the Kawi motors that he's used for a long time - - in exchange for a 'Busa engine.  Take a look at the build details (you'll find links on the home page of this site) and you'll be able to see what the engine is to go along with the new body and colors.

My typo.....I was trying to say that IT IS POWERED BY A 1300CC HAYABUSA.  I type not instead of now.

Denis has had it for sale, so its possible that it got sold.
