Who is going to WF
« on: September 23, 2004, 06:20:00 PM »
Just another thread who is going to World Finals?

I know that many will already be there the week before for the Burt Moroe movie shoot, but who else will be going to wf?

I will be there with my project bike hopefully to go further then 1 mile this time.

The weather looks good for the 15 days out so far, nice 75-80 degree temps, have not seen any posting for any precip, and lets keep it that way.

Its looking like I'll be there .. as a spectator .. but an enthusiastic one atleast ....

I have a few freinds who will be there running their cars and I'm looking forward to seeing them and hopefully lending a hand if needed.

Looks good for me, I caught a bad case of sa;t fever at the BUB meet, brought on by a bit of beginners luck. Right now I'm sweetening up the motor a bit and hope to sail into the 120's with some good luck, good weather, and good salt!!

I plan to be there, if the bike doesn't break on the dyno later this week.

Need tire advice for Gix 1K.  Shredded a rennsport on the dyno yesterday.  Too soft.

Not having luck getting return call from Bridgestone tech.

Need hard compound, not sticky.  Need it NOW!

shredded tire on dyno means nothing to lsr racing, SCTA has been pushing a zr rated touring tire, try a dunlop they worked fine for Joe at 244 mph, new.... Jack Christer although toop a Michelin Pilot brand new and was having problems with them. Maybe a different issue with the Pilots if they were shaved. He came back to WOS with shaved tires and had no issues with Shaved michelin Pilots.

Problems have been with very soft compound road race tires, but there can be many factors in this. And all recommend not using your racing tire of dyno pulls, install a different tire for dyno runs.
