Curious to know how the Target 550 and Eddie's Chop Shop cars did.  Thanks in advance for any updates!

Returned home from the Test & Tune last night. Plenty of warm weather as well as wind. However since it was not a record event most of the competitors chose to keep running regardless of the wind conditions.
There were no real high speed runs made as each entrant was there to test, tune, practice and experiment. The Target 550 made four runs and Marlo seemed happy with the results, especially the fact that the car did not have any mechanical failures. The Knappster made two runs. Timmy Burkdoll qualified for an A license. Several others got in the required license runs. Vehicles were made to run better and many electrical and mechanical issues sorted out.
I will leave it up to any competitors to let you know any more specifics.
The USFRA expresses thanks to those that participated and helped. We had some benefactors that stepped up to help cover the costs of hosting the event. A special thanks to those that did, as you know who you are, but wish to remain anonymous.

Test and Tune 2022 was a success! Anyone taking advantage of this got all the passes they wanted and then some, If USFRA has this again I would highly encourage racers that want to shake down their cars out to attend. Thanks to all the USFRA workers that worked hard to put this meet on !

Ed Umland (Eddie's Chop Shop) wasn't there.  As Monte said, they were pleased with Target 550, as it experienced no major problems.  They didn't seem interested in speeds.

After the meet was over, Jason and I spent about 90 minutes driving around taking pictures and GPS coordinates of the areas of garbage and damage left behind by the tourists having their campfires on the salt. We were able to document over 20 locations.
During the Test & Tune, Drew from the BLM showed up. I spoke with him about the campfire issue. Dennis also spoke with him. He said that if we would take photos and provide the coordinates, he would send out some crews to clean things up.
We will see if they will do as Drew said.

Wow!  I've waited a long time to see this!  Just beautiful.

However, I'm having a hard time finding the "office".  Please assist me.

My first reaction:  "Oh, my!"

Second:  Yeah, Stan, you're right.  Where does the operator sit?

The Greyhound bus - ish side windows tell the story, the windshield is in the nose. Car is 35" wide & 31" high not counting the tail fins from an F-105 wing tank.
I got three things from the USFRA T&T, a really good inspection, a chassis number & Covid! :-( I think Speed Week is lost to me.
