Worlds fastest indian

Found this on yahoo movies if anyone is interested.

http://movies.yahoo.com/shop?d=hv&cf=info&id=1808718797

If you click watch the trailer under the pic it will show the theatrical trailer and 3 clips are available as well. I think the clip "I made it" is pretty cool.
Records or parts, I didn't come all this way not to break something.

you're right, "i made it" almost brought tears to my eyes.

seeing the old chevy with a replica of burt's old trailer was like seeing a ghost for the two weeks we were out there.  seeing it pull up in front of the replica of the old sign that graced hwy. 40 brought shivers up my spine.

however, "your machine is not safe," my last big scene of the movie, is very funny.  it was difficult not to laugh and stay in character during this shoot.  very fun!

too bad my first big scene in the movie didn't make it as a trailer.  this is the one where burt is given a pouch of money.  tears of joy will fill the theaters during this

i can't wait!

The crew and I just got back from watching the movie.  They did a great job, very entertaining even the wife's loved it.  Anthony Hopkins did a great job. 4:00 pm show and the theater was about 1/3 full the audience loved it.  I have heard some griping about the details and accuracy of the film. This was a medium budget movie designed to appeal to a mass audience, not a documentary.  They have done a fine job.  Why nitpick about details when the overall film can do nothing but bring wider recognition to our sport.

Hey Jon,,here's a quote from Rod Hadfield which may make your day .
"On the plane home from the USA I was able to watch the movie "The World's Fastest Indian", if you get the chance to see it don't miss it."

The Indian finally made it to Texas yesterday and the wife and I made it to the early show. Funny, light hearted, a little sappy, but well worth it. For true salt racers a real touchstone.

Best of all, my wife loved it and I could sense a better appreciation on her part for why I do it ... that is race!
Go faster, just don't eat the salt!

Damn you Denver guys, I can't find any showings in Nebraska but I did find 2 in the Denver area.  Where were those showings on the East side of Nebraska anyway?

I somehow don't think it is coming to Blanding :? .  I have had it reserved on Netflix for about a month, but they don't know yet when it will be released on DVD.

I got to go back and weld some more on the lakester.  I had to redo  about 1/2 of what I did yesterday.  Oh well.

Went to the Tri-States swap meet in Denver today and was able to catch the movie at Arapahoe Crossings [N.E. corner of Arapahoe and Parker Rd.] on the way home.
I certainly enjoyed it and can recommend it. I would describe it as a "underdog overcomes all obstacles and succeeds / roadtrip" type of movie. The Bonneville scenes only occupy about the last 1/4 or less of the movie and it isn't very technical, which I'm sure was to appease a more general audience. As usual, Anthony Hopkins gives a stellar performance, I really felt like I was watching Burt Munro himself. For those who have been there, the scenes of his first arrival at the salt flats will certainly give them goosebumps and bring back some memories of their own I'm sure.

Well I just got back from the World's Fastest Indian Movie... The Mountain States guys showed up with us to watch it... I was so excited to see the movie my wife said I was acting like a 12 year old and said she was never taking me to a movie again, then proceeded to take my dipping dots ice cream away and said i wasnt allowed any more sugar... So I had to sip on my caffeen free Mug Root Beer...

Now onto the show, I thought it was an excellent film and Hopkins did a great job. My wife even enjoyed the film... I will have to go again and see if I see any of the extras from our Current Bonneville family that were there... I did get a glimpse of the Old Burklands Stude... I wounder If I could mow my lawn like Burt did... Very exciting and just the fix for the Salt Flats disease...
