I know Glen Barrett notified folks on the Landspeed List yesterday about Jim's death but I have yet to see anything on Landracing.com.
Jim was a friend and consultant to most racers on the Bonneville Salt Flats and his contributions to racer safety have been a big part of survival for everyone in racing. I can't think of a single safety area where he didn't have an impact.
