 Fastest 39 Ford Flathead

My friend Ed Shiadel died a while back we where at Bonneville his friend Monty from Placerville Calif had a green 39 Ford with a flathead. He set the record than 2001 car went to impound area after you set a record. I remember little of it as I was talking with the 69 Mustang Boss 429 LSR car. Anyone know of what happend to them I think this picture below is the car

Wrong car. Monte Osborne's '37 is a green fast back.(don't remember the name of the body style.)

Monte races with the Ferguson's now where he got both Bonneville and El Mirage 200 MPH club memeberships.

I think the '37 is retired in Northern California. Monte shows up with the Ferguson group at all the races. Maybe someone else has contact info.

What about Kenny Kloth's XF/ Production record at 140 and some change in a full fendered Merc?  To get that monster to go that fast is a herculean feat!  You can reach the Ferguson's at http://www.ardun.com

Do you mean, what is the fastest Blown fuel studabaker?  Records are broke down in classes not types of cars.

in his stock bodied 1949 Mercury 2 door sedan although his record is 140.551.  Still has the engine in the car.  He drove his family around the Miller Motorsports Park track two years ago when they had a classics car show out there.  It sounds great and the car could enter and win a prize at a car show without much work.

This record is Keith Turks in a classic camaro.  The fastest BFCC is A/BFCC.  Not sure of the year of the car but it is an older coupe pre 49 with a stretched front end.  Its the Trackmaster-DRM car and he has the record at 305.6

Blown Chrysler on fuel.  Running as a 4 Cylinder on half the holes, Betty Burkland got into the 2 Club at 263.887 in E class a couple of years ago.

57,
The car in the pic that you posted is Wayne Litchenhalter, from Lexington, Neb. I was in the Grand Island Dragons car club with Wayne back in the late 50s. He had a 50 Ford two door with a 265 Chev and a Packard tranny with tri power. Ran good, just like his 39.which has ran everything from a normally aspirated flathead to a blown Ardun this year from Dave Thompson another Nebraska boy. That car holds and has held lots of records and Wayne is a great guy and always good to see when I go to Bonneville.

Trackmaster car -- George Fields is the owner. I don't remember the exact date -- I'd guess about '03.
