New Records for '08
« on: November 01, 2008, 03:44:55 PM »
Got a question. Looking at the new records for '08 in the Unblown Gas Lakester Class I see two in red for the same class, AA/GL. Hammond at over 300 and Smith at 299. Can anyone explain?

Willie wins the prize...it will show as a record set and next year all 08 records will be in Black with the top speed record in the class remaining.

Sparky, you might think about changing your signature from "El M hat" to "claret hat" --  per Dan Warner's explanation of how the color for the EM hats was chosen.  With the change the three lines would all be similar.

Merlot, claret, what's the difference.  Back in MY day - it was either Thunderbird or Mad Dog 20-20.  And I couldn't see what color those were -- the brown bag I kept 'em in didn't let their hue show through.

"What the word?  Thunderbird!  What's the price?  50 twice!"  or something like that.

You can always tell the good wines by the how easy the screw top cap threads on.  It shows attention to detail.

What's the word ... Thunderbird - What's the price ... 30 twice - What's the action ... satisfaction

Drank a lot of Ripple before and after the Army ...........

Vietnam ..... junk rice wine in the village ..... San Miguel beer in rusty cans on the LZ .........

What was that about the "good ol' days" .........?

Ah . . . Ripple!  You gotta love that stuff! Two bucks for 55 gallons.
Well, it used to be Los Angeles . . . 50 miles north of Fresno now.
Just remember . . . It isn't life or death.
It's bigger than life or death! It's RACING.
