Speaking of Air Lines...Laurinburg?
«

When I was last down there in June, I had a terrible time trying to find a gas station with a decent air hose to top off my tires. I went to at least three stations and ended up loosing more air than I gained due to pumps not working or bad chucks! Luckily, the gentleman running the VW let me use his motorhome's onboard compressor. Does anyone know of a station there that has a decent working air line or should I top off out by 95? Due to limited space in the Miata I prefer not to carry a compressor sinced most that work well aren't small. Thanks

Did you ask people at the track if they had a nitrogen bottle? I have not gone racing in many years without taking a nitrogen bottle to check tires and run air tools.

How old would you be now if you didn't know how old you are?
If you can't race it or take it to bed - it ain't worth having.

I should be ok but was curious if I was missing someplace that had 'good air.' Now as long as the weather co-operates. Looking better for Sunday at this point but maybe things will change.

Nancy and I leave for Maxton tomorrow (Wednesday) at about 6AM. We're planning to have TWO bikes to race -- our ZX14R, that ran 188 at Bonneville this summer, and the brand-new ZX15R. Whoo-hoo, our first time with bikes at ECTA in two solid years.
We'll have a supply of Salt Talks t-shirts, and also a bunch of landracing.com shirts, so bring a couple of bucks to support the website - and get something for your money (besides the knowledge that you've helped keep this site on the air).
See you in a few days.
