Just before I left the salt yesterday I had a chance to talk with one of the OSU crewmembers as they were refueling. He said that they'd finally found most of the bugs and had just run 276.
Up until then it had been (as Ron Christensen put it) "another disappointment from the Buckeye Bullet." However, it seems they were on the right track.
I reminded the crew member about checking tire pressure. He didn't know why I said that, although he said, "they're sure picky about that." I explained how they'd left impound with a nearly-flat tire in 06 (I think) on a record return. His eyes got real big and he said, "No wonder!"
So although it had been a real dismal performance most of the week, it seems that they were getting things together.
