not in Maine, but spent a month there 1 week fixing an airplane at Loring AFB.

Welcome to LSR, don't forget to start a build log and show us what you are doing.

I'm guessing you could win the longest drive award if there was one....  8-)

The Maine Barons car club. They run a chopped '34 coupe in memory of Sam Samson, TOHRJ.

Maybe someone on here has a contact.

Try Corbett's Automotive Machine Shop in, I believe, Turner, Maine.

The Maine Barons go to Maxton -- were there last month, I think.  In fact, if you go to the ECTA site (ww.ecta-lsr.com) now you'll see a photo of the #1034 car near the bottom of the home page.

It was mentioned at the drivers meeting at Maxton in April that there may be land Racing at Loring this fall.

13400 feet if I remember correctly, its been 20+ years since I flew in an airplane there, that would be a nice venue, except for location...  :|

Stainless,

Location depends where you are looking at it from.........

About 400 closer than Maxton and about 1800 closer than the salt for me depending on which crows I follow.

Lot of hurdles to overcome before the first meet happens but there are some pretty dedicated LSR junkies working on it to hopefully have it happen right when it does.

Off topic but gotta sneak it in before I forget - We are following your advice and going with a wishbone on the rear of the lakester under construction - thanks for the heads up info.

Mike,

The Maine Barons are very active in LSR and very friendly, am sure you will find them very helpfull.  Also a lot of LSR folks in New England both 2 and 4 wheel types with B'ville and Maxton experience.  Welcome aboard.
