Her big spin came before the canyon was created.
I guess the answer is "a Secret" .

Same run, she spun and the MH was plowing a trench to get down to her, She was 3 miles north of Coddington Canyon. All of her runs have been text book since then, She listened well and did get a lot of seat time.

If you watched any of the Coddington stuff on TV you may have caught the same thing that I saw. When their motor come on boost it is pretty violent. When they were on the chassis dyno it actually spun the tires on the rollers! Think that this may be what was causing the spinning??? You got to be gentle with that tire to salt contact patch, pretty sensitive.

Got some time ?
Before I spent any time or money on what has been a too often a neglected segment of the population, I made a study of the facts.
The abuse was often dangerous and as such, considered to be bad luck.
I have had nothing but good luck with unlikely racers, in part because of those studied facts.

In the case of JO, the instructions might have been lacking from what should have been a more experienced racer that did not fully explain what can happen and how to respond.
Women listen different, and don't ever take them for granted.
Ask Sami, Marcia, or Wendy as just some examples, there are more.

Thanks Dynoroom, I believe your reply is the answer I was looking for. My wife thought it was because Jo is a girl.....LOL.

Tell her it is not true , most girls are better race drivers than many boys. :-D

A example is Tonya Turk - she has the smoothiest gear shifting I know - and she always pressed more speed out of the car as all her team companions in the So Al team.....

Actually one of the Camaro records at Speedweek was with Tonya driving.  And yes it is true . . .  you might not have heard  . . . but  . . . . the Turk's done sold the Berkerley.

I was just funn'in about KT. . . Both Keith and Tonya are first class folk.

Maybe Jo and the Boyd crew could bring the roadster to Maxton??  It's pretty hard to get stuck in a cotton field.

The gentlman that was supplying the horsepower on the Boyd roadster is a
freind of mine. His name is Harv. We used to dyno his engines when I lived
in So. Ca. He would bring in all kinds of turbo engines in to run. One thing I
know about Harv is, he really knows how to make horsepower, but he allways
goes for the throat with the boost. His engines would come on hard and fast
and made them difficult to pull on the dyno. I can`t imagine trying to control
that boost hit on the salt. I am pretty sure they ran Jo`s engine down there at Dyno-Motive. I`ll have to call down there and talk to Eric and see how the
session went.I`ll give Jo an atta boy for getting the car down the coarse at
all with the boost monster under her right foot. Perhaps they pulled some
boost out after she spun it to make it easyer to drive.
As for Jimmy, I think he just likes spinning, or maybe it was his right foot
was still hurting after I ran over it at speedweek this year.(sorry Jim Bob).

Do you want the alpha list by first, last, or nick name ?
We could do it by age also.
Should it be 14 and up or 60 and down ?
They are gonna want to know what they are racing for, the who is not as important.
