Costella-Gullett Streamliner to sport a new look for World Finals
« on: September 29, 2007, 12:30:16 PM »
The nickname for the Costella-Gullett streamliner at BUB and at World of Speed was "The Salt Snake". This endearing little name apparently came out of the low profile and sleek look at nearly 200 miles per hour....
Well, when the streamliner appears on the salt at the World Finals, this machine will have an all new look......
Here are some work photos of final paint, before numbering and decaling - but I am sure you will get the impression, as we did, that the bike looks like its going 200 just sitting on the rack......
The prep and paint were done by Ty and Erika Konitz of Bozeman. The pictures do not do justice to the quality of work on the bike..... hopefully, you will get to see it up close at World Finals....

We would love to get your comments on how it looks.....

Thanks for this paint job.....this will helps me a lot ot make the picture of the racer - the picture I done looks great.........but also camouflaged. Hard to see where the racer ends and the salt begins.
Will see you again at the salt next week - I'm flying over on monday.

I love the white roof against the blue body!  This was one of most interesting (favorite) cars I saw at my first speed week this year.  Good luck with more records guys!
