DLRA members reach new levels of speed.
« on: March 18, 2005, 12:08:00 AM »
I was lying in bed today, trying to get the sleep out of my eyes after working a night shift, and flicked on the radio. I listen to the "National Broadcaster" the ABC, when there was an announcement for the upcoming interview - a guy that just travelled 300 MPH on land.

Low and behold it was DLRA's own John Lynch who was talking from Lake Gairdner, being interviewed about being the first Australian to reach 300 mph at a DLRA event. Congratulations John, and well done - it took 10 years of effort and heartache. Who said going fast was easy.

Well done, and we look forward to the results filtering thru as people return to civilisation.
Its hard enough to be your age, let alone act it.

The March 2005 issue of British cycle magazine Classic Bike, now at places like Borders magazine rack, has a decent article on bikes at the DLRA last year.
