Best Streamliner Ever!
« on: December 15, 2021, 04:09:18 PM »
Everyone's got an opinion, and I often don't express mine (heh-heh), but it's hard to argue about this one on so many levels . . .

You get no argument from me Stan but we were traction limited with no modern management systems or traction control. My new junk is 4WD.

From a consistancy (sp) point of view I would suggest that Speed Demon gets a vote.

The most impressive looking liner was that massive red Herbert & Steen unit that never seemed to set any records. Most beautiful design? The Redhead - not a flat panel on it anywhere.

I'm wiring right now & I finally have all the custom stuff that I didn't have the talent to machine. Looking to shake it down in the spring.

Southern Utah has a place I like & I got an Idaho off road tag for the liner to keep it all legal--ish! :-D
Home built, single seat, 4 wheels & with a 650 engine. They didn't ask me if it was CC's or Cu In's!

When it comes to Blown sounds  I like Flashpoint

NA  Al Eshenbaugh's four cylinder sound from El M
Miss LIBERTY,  changing T.K.I.  to noise, dust, rust, BLUE HATS & hopefully not scrap!!

YouTube has a Title" How to build a 400mph streamline". Kent Riches is putting two Hayabusas in a 4 wd liner and is it an awesome build. Everything is just primo. I used to think you could do a liner for maybe 50K. Double that at least. Better not cut corners on a 350-400mph build.

Okay, I've given this topic a lot of thought. I have taken into account the Huge number of records the Nebulus Therum cars have set. The legend status of Mickey Thompson and Danny.  the family aspect of the Burklands and the Nish bunch. I was there when Al made his last run with an exit of 430.  Of course George poteet is legend. Buuut...I'm going with the Summers Bros. Pollywog car. If it was brought up to current safety standards and had just a few upgrades and corrections (scrub) and  the Speed Demons 347 c.i. engine in it I believe it would go SUPER fast. That is the car I would replicate if I had unlimited funds and help. Next  keep it going.
